I'm probably one of those who came late in the game but,...I’ve recently discovered podcasts. I know, I know: “Aren’t you a bit late?” Well, I knew about their existence, but I honestly thought they would be extremely boring, guys. Until I found out that I could listen to one of my favourite Swedish female Youtuber’s podcasts! Clara Henry’s. After listening to the first one, I couldn’t stop thinking: “this is amazing!” So, during the last few months I’ve been testing out different podcasts and I’ve been loving each of them. Apart from their convenience and practicality - you can just download a couple and listen to them anywhere - it is great to be able to listen to different opinions on a certain topic; it kind of makes you notice and/or change your perspective on something, besides giving you a chance on personal development. Plus, depending on the podcast’s topic that you chose or its type, you’ll be able to focus on certain vocabulary words that, who knows, maybe you need some extra help with?
Some of my personal favourites are:
Clara Henry i P3
Fråga åt en kompis
Clara Henry’s podcast is mostly about music since P3 is a Swedish radio program about music. She interviews several guests who are music experts and they talk about their opinions on certain topics or music categories. While in Keyyo’s podcast they choose more advanced or topics that one would not dare to talk about so often.
So, plug your headphones in and enjoy some Swedish with Clara and Keyyo! Don't forget to tell me your opinions on podcasts and your favourite ones! Hope this helps you in your language learning journey and never doubt about the power of a podcast!
